About Koi Drift
Koi Drift is a calm-looking puzzle about reading a pond. Every koi wants to swim home; you decide the order they leave in. Tap one whose whole path to the edge is clear and it glides out. Tap one whose path is blocked and it bumps — nothing lost, but nothing gained. The puzzle is the order.
That is the whole rule, and it stays the whole rule for a thousand ponds. What changes is the water. Some koi bend right or left before they reach the edge. Some pause at a corner and wait for a second tap. Predators settle on the banks and guard a lane that is safe while it glows orange and deadly while it glows red, so the pond becomes a matter of timing as well as sequence. Deeper in, hearts run out and a single mistake ends the run.
Three ways to play
- Deep Drift — the journey. A thousand numbered ponds, each one made from a seed so it is the same for everyone, climbing through eight tiers: Stillwater, Currents, Watchers, Hunters, Crosscurrents, Riptide, Tides and, at the end, the endless Master water where the pond remembers every mistake.
- Calm Drift — no timer, no hearts, no predators. Pick a depth and drift. Calm Drift earns coins, not cards; it is there for the evenings when you want the pond without the pressure.
- The Daily — one pond a day, the same for every player in the world, with a ranking of how fast it was cleared. Clear it and you get a card of your drift to share.
The collection
A hundred and one koi cards wait along the journey, each one earned by reaching its pond — from the first Kohaku in the shallows to the Cosmic Emperor Koi at pond 1000, the last card in the game. After him the cards end and the drift goes on forever. Any koi you have earned can be equipped as a Guardian: each grants a run-power (a shield against one strike, an extra heart, a free hint each pond, slower predators), and after its power saves you it rests for ten ponds, so a deep school matters.
How it is paid for
Koi Drift is free to play and has no accounts, no energy, no gacha and no spin wheels. There is one optional purchase, the Drifter’s Pass, a single one-time unlock of the full school of koi, priced in the store. In the Android app you can also choose to watch a short rewarded video for a second chance when a pond closes on you; the video is never forced. Coins are earned by clearing ponds and spent on hints, undos, an extra heart or a Safe Lane — helpers, never requirements.
Who makes it
Koi Drift is made by Shrinfinity OPC Private Limited, an independent one-person studio in Hyderabad, India. The pond is drawn in WebGL, the koi are painted sprites that swim on a real strip mesh, and every card name, legend and koi in the game is fictional and created for Koi Drift. Card artwork and visual assets were created through AI-assisted generation with human art direction, selection, editing and game-specific implementation. Koi Drift is not affiliated with any other collectible-card, anime, trading-card or game franchise.
It runs in the browser at koidrift.com, as an installable web app, and as an Android app on Google Play. An iOS version is in preparation from the same code.
